About Bungay Film Club

Bungay Film Club is run by a small group of film enthusiasts. We show foreign, independent or classic films once a month at the Fisher Theatre in Bungay, Suffolk. The archive below shows our recent screenings.

Our screening date is usually (but not always) the last Monday of each month. Screenings begin at 7.30pm. Members currently pay £10 for a year's membership and £2.50 for each film. Guests are very welcome and pay £5 for each film. Anyone joining during the year can pay a reduced membership fee, depending upon the number of screenings left. We currently have ten screenings each year. Please note that we function independently of the Fisher Theatre and are unable to use their credit card payment facility. We can not therefore accept payment by credit card.

We are happy to make pre-paid bookings (cash or cheques made payable to "Bungay Film Club") for any of our screenings and will try to reserve the seats of your choice. For more information please contact one of the following a few days before a screening:

Sally Hirons   01986 894338  or

Frances Swann   01986 896949

The licensed bar is open for half an hour before each screening and for an indefinite time afterwards, providing a welcome opportunity for members and guests to discuss the evening’s film or simply enjoy a drink together. Drinks may also be taken into the auditorium during a screening.

We would very much like to expand our membership. New members will be made very welcome and can join at the Box Office before any screening. Guests too are assured of a warm welcome.
